Police DepartmentThe Department has experienced an overall increase in activity for <strong>2011</strong>.Our criminal investigations have substantially increased where othercategories continue to be constant.We are currently at full staff with our recent hire <strong>of</strong> Officer BenjaminTokarz. Officer Tokarz graduated from the 154 th full-time police academyin April <strong>of</strong> <strong>2011</strong>. He is proving to be an outstanding <strong>of</strong>ficer and agreat asset to our Department.Officer Carter has recently started his fifteenth year as our DARE instructorat Simond’s Elementary School. The children continue to bereceptive and are enjoying their time with the program.Unfortunately, our area has experienced an increase in burglaries andlarcenies. We ask that you keep the doors <strong>of</strong> your residence and vehicleslocked.
