DedicationRichard D. BrownChief Brown joined the <strong>Warner</strong> Fire Department on May 19 th , 1977. Hewas a fireman at the beginning <strong>of</strong> his service with the department.When the first EMT class was introduced into the <strong>Warner</strong> Fire Departmentin 1980, he became an EMT. He was promoted to Lieutenant byChief Paul Violette. In December <strong>of</strong> 1987 Chief Brown was elected tothe position <strong>of</strong> Chief. He led the department through many changesover his tenure as Chief. At the beginning <strong>of</strong> his tenure, the departmenthad just three trucks, two engines/pumpers and one tanker.Over the years with the increase <strong>of</strong> population, buildings and visitorstraveling through <strong>Warner</strong>, he saw the need to increase equipment toprovide the proper coverage for the town and its people. The departmentnow has two Class A pumpers, three tanker trucks, a rescuevehicle, forestry truck and numerous lifesaving rescue tools. The addition<strong>of</strong> another bay to the fire station, with a meeting room upstairs,was spearheaded by Chief Brown, who donated countless hours <strong>of</strong> laborto build it.The <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Warner</strong> would like to thank Chief Brown for the time andnumerous hours he has given to the <strong>Town</strong>. His dedication to the departmentand the people <strong>of</strong> <strong>Warner</strong> is greatly appreciated. We thankyou and wish you well, Chief Brown. Job well done!4
