image.Six great Thousand-Year Periods or Days have passedsince Adam was created, according to Bible chronology. We are now in the dawning of the great Seventh Dayor Sabbath Day of human experience. God has promisedthat this Seventh Day of a thousand years will be verydifferent from the preceding Six Days, in which mankindhas experienced a reign of Sin and Death. The SeventhDay of a thousand years is Scripturally called the "Dayof Christ," and by many it is styled the Millennium. Init Satan and Sin are to be overthrown, righteousness isto be established by the Redeemer, and mankind, purchasedby the precious blood at Calvary; are all to havefull opportunity for arising from present degradation tore-attainment of the image and likeness of God, lost inEden by Adam's disobedience. The Seventh Day of the Creative Week began withAdam's creation and has already lasted six thousand years, and is to be completed with the thousand years of Christ'sReign. The Seventh Creative Day will be seven thousandyears long. Whoever sees this to be a reasonablededuction can easily suppose that the six preceding Daysof the Genesis account were, likewise, seven thousandyears each. Reckoned thus, the total period from thetime that Divine Energy began to operate upon the wasteEarth down to the time when the whole work of creationand Restitution will be fully completed, would be 7 times7,000 years, or 49,000 years.According to the Bible, that time will be a thousandyears hence, when The Christ shall have accomplishedHis work for mankind to the full and shall deliver up theKingdom to God, even the Father. At that moment thefiftieth thousand-year period will begin, with every creaturein Heaven and on earth ascribing praise to Himthat sitteth upon the Throne, and to the Lamb, forever. How appropriate this will be, especially when we recallthat in God's arrangement fifty is the greatest climaxof numbers! In Bible usage the number seven issymbolical of perfection, and 7 times 7 represents a completenessof perfection; and the fiftieth or Jubileefollowing is climacteric.R5140 : page 372"LET THERE BE LIGHT"We hold that the Genesis account is in full accordwith all the facts known to science. There was no lightin the Earth prior to the time when Divine Energybrooded on the surface of the waters. The account seemsto suggest an electrical influence, and a light somewhatresembling the Aurora Borealis. The Earth was darkbecause shrouded with an impenetrable fog and an uppercanopy of water, mineral water, etc. This thoroughlyshut out the light of the sun, moon and stars, which didnot shine in upon the Earth in any sense until the Fourth
