complete the Elect Kingdom class, must be first foundamongst the Gentiles, and then, these being glorified inthe First Resurrection, Natural Israel will obtain thegreat earthly blessings which are still theirs and whichwere promised to their fathers. "They shall obtainmercy through your mercy."--Rom. 11:25-34.====================R5103 : page 295"HE DOETH ALL THINGS WELL"--OCTOBER 27.--MARK 7:31-8:10.--"He hath done all things well: He maketh both thedeaf to hear, and the dumb to speak."--V. 37.IN PREVIOUS STUDIES we have notedthe fact that Jesus invariably, in connectionwith His miracles, impressed the healedones in particular, and all the witnesses ingeneral, with the fact that the healingpower was Divine, thus to establish faithin God. Today's lesson gives a special illustrationalong this line. A person wasbrought to the Savior to heal who wasdeaf and who had an impediment in hisspeech. He put His fingers into the man's ears, asthough to start some life current through them; then Hespat and touched the man's tongue. We cannot supposethat the Master's power was limited to these means, when on other occasions He exercised other means. Itseems preferable to understand that these methods wereused in order to attract the man's attention and assisthim in the exercise of faith. As the man could not hear, nothing said to him couldexplain the situation; he could see the spitting, he couldfeel the touch, he understood what was going on, and incidentally
