more dying.----------THE FINAL TESTING WILL DETERMINE IT.Question.--Will restitution include the right to everlastinglife, or will the right to everlasting life be determinedby the final testing that will come at the end ofthe Millennial Age?Answer.--Perfection was given to Adam originally;and by virtue of his perfection he had a right to continueto live, if he were obedient. But as God saw fit to testFather Adam, so He will test the human family. And thefinal test, after the Kingdom shall have been turned overto the Father, will be by way of testing their worthinessto attain these life-rights and to keep them everlastingly. The thousand years of Christ's reign will be for bringingmankind to perfection. At the end of that reign those whohave reached perfection will be delivered over to theFather. The New Covenant will have accomplished forthem all that it was intended to accomplish. But beforeGod determines them worthy of the fulness of His everlastinglife, He will see that all are tried individually andwithout any Mediator between. We may be sure that thetest will be a crucial and a just one.----------APPLICABLE TO TWO CLASSES.Question.--To whom is the Apostle speaking when hesays, "I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, topresent your bodies living sacrifices"?--Rom. 12:1.Answer.--These words are properly applicable to twoclasses. First, they apply to a class termed "brethren," inthe sense that they are no longer opponents, but sympatheticallyin harmony with the consecrated. The Apostle wasurging these to complete the work of grace which theyhad already begun. Secondly, the text applies to thosewho have made the consecration, and urges them to completethe work. I urge you, brethren, that day by day youattend to this matter of presenting your bodies living sacrificesR5031 : page 170until the work be accomplished. This, he says, is areasonable service, acceptable to God.Although St. Paul does not say how the great Advocatewill make the sacrifice acceptable, yet this is to beunderstood by Christians, who know that they are acceptedin the Beloved. After that class have given up their lives, after they have put all in the Lord's hands, they understandthat they, themselves, as members of the Body ofChrist, are to die daily. Hence it is that daily an opportunitycomes to us to lay down life in the Lord's service.
