MICROMASTER 440© Siemens AG 2007OptionsVariant dependent options■ OverviewLine commutating chokeLine commutating chokes areused to smooth voltage peaksor to bridge commutatingdips. In addition, line commutatingchokes reduce the effectsof harmonics on the inverterand the power supply. Ifthe line impedance is < 1 %, aline commutating choke mustbe used in order to reduce thecurrent peaks. In line with EN 61 000-3-2 regulations“Limits for harmoniccurrents with device input current16 A per phase”, thereare special aspects for driveswith 250 W to 550 W and 230 Vsingle-phase supplies whichcan be used in non-industrialapplications (1st environment). For devices with 250 W and350 W, it is necessary either tofit the recommended inputchokes or to apply to thepower utility company forauthorization to connect thedevices to the public powersupply. No limits are currently definedin the EN 61 000-3-2 standardfor professionally used deviceswith a connected load>1 kW which means that theinverters with an output power 0.75 kW comply with theEN 61 000-3-2 standard. However, in accordance withthe regulations of EN 61000-3-12 “Limits for harmonic currents> 16 A and 75 A perphase” an approval is necessaryfrom the power supplierfor drives that are intended tobe connected to the publiclow-voltage network. Pleaserefer to the Operating Instructionsfor the values of the harmoniccurrents.Output chokeOutput chokes can be suppliedfor reducing the capacitivecompensation currentsand dV/dt in the case of motorcables >50 m (shielded) or>100 m (unshielded). For max. permissible cablelengths, see the TechnicalData.Brake resistorsThe brake resistors are designedfor use with theMICROMASTER 440 inverterseries, frame sizes A to F, withinternal brake chopper andenable loads with a large momentof inertia to be brakedquickly. During braking of themotor and the load, excessenergy is fed back to the inverter. This causes the voltageto rise in the DC link. The invertertransfers the excess energyto the externally mountedbraking resistor. For MICROMASTER 440 invertersof frame sizes FX andGX, external SIMOVERTMASTERDRIVES brake unitsand the appropriate brake resistorscan be used (seeCatalog DA 65.10).Gland plateGland plates are available forinverters of frame sizes A, Band C. All the other frame sizeshave the shield connectionfor the control cable integratedin the inverter. The shield for the power cablehas to be connected externally(e.g. in the control cabinet).Exception: Inverters of framesizes D and E and frame sizeF with integrated class A filter. In this case the shield connectionis integrated in the inverter. The gland plate enables theshields of the power and controlcables to be terminatedensuring optimum EMC performance.■ Technical dataMax. permissible cablelengths from the motor tothe inverter when usingoutput chokesThe following table shows themaximum permissible cablelengths from the motor to theinverter when using outputchokes.Note:Operation up to 150 Hz outputfrequency only!4Frame size Output choke Max. permissible motor cable lengths (shielded/unshielded)for a mains voltage of(FS) Type 200 V to 240 V ± 10 % 380 V to 400 V ± 10 % 401 V to 480 V ± 10 % 500 V to 600 V ± 10 %A 6SE6400-3TC00-4AD3 200 m/300 m – – –A 6SE6400-3TC00-4AD2 – 150 m/225 m 100 m/150 m –B 6SE6400-3TC01-0BD3 200 m/300 m 150 m/225 m 100 m/150 m –C 6SE6400-3TC03-2CD3 200 m/300 m 200 m/300 m 100 m/150 m –C 6SE6400-3TC01-8CE3 – – – 100 m/150 mD to F 6SE6400-3TC. .-. . . . 200 m/300 m 200 m/300 m 200 m/300 m 200 m/300 mFX 6SL3000-2BE32-1AA0 – 300 m/450 m 300 m/450 m –FX 6SL3000-2BE32-6AA0 – 300 m/450 m 300 m/450 m –GX 6SL3000-2BE33-2AA0 – 300 m/450 m 300 m/450 m –GX 6SL3000-2BE33-8AA0 – 300 m/450 m 300 m/450 m –GX 6SL3000-2BE35-0AA0 – 300 m/450 m 300 m/450 m –4/14 Siemens DA 51.2 · 2007/2008

© Siemens AG 2007MICROMASTER 440OptionsVariant independent options■ OverviewBasic Operator Panel (BOP)With the BOP, individual parametersettings can be made.Values and units are shown ona 5-digit display.Basic Operator Panel (BOP)A BOP can be used for severalinverters. It can be directlymounted on the inverter or in acontrol cabinet door using amounting kit.Advanced Operator Panel(AOP)The AOP enablesMICROMASTER 440 parameterkits to be easily read andmodified. In contrast to theBOP, the value and meaningof the parameters can be directlydisplayed as plain textin several languages by fastscrolling of the address. The AOP is directly pluggedinto the inverter, or communicateswith the latter through adoor mounting kit. Togetherwith the “AOP door mountingkit for multiple inverters”, theAOP permits bus communicationwith up to 30 inverters at atransmission rate of 38 kbaud.(RS485, USS).For servicing purposes, theAOP furthermore supports thedownload and upread of completeparameter kits.Asian AdvancedOperator Panel (AAOP)The AAOP is the Chinese versionof the AOP operator panel. It has an enhanced displayand supports the operatinglanguages of Chinese (simplified)and English.Asian Advanced Operator Panel(AAOP)PROFIBUS moduleFor a complete PROFIBUSconnection with up to 12 Mbaud. Remote controlof the inverter is possible withthe PROFIBUS module. Remotecontrol and operation atthe inverter can be combinedusing an operator panelplugged onto the PROFIBUSmodule. The PROFIBUS modulecan be supplied by an external24 V DC power supplyand is thus also active whenthe inverter is disconnectedfrom the power supply.Connection by means of a9-pin Sub-D connector (availableas an option).DeviceNet moduleFor networking the inverters tothe DeviceNet fieldbus systemwidely used on the Americanmarket. A maximum transmissionrate of 500 kbaud is possible.Remote control of the inverteris possible with the DeviceNetmodule. Remote controland operation at the invertercan be combined using anoperator panel plugged ontothe DeviceNet module. The connection to theDeviceNet bus system ismade using a 5-pin connectorwith terminal strip.CANopen moduleUsing the CANopen communicationsmodule, an invertercan be linked to the CANopenfieldbus system and remotecontrol is then possible.Remote control and operationat the inverter can be combinedusing an operator panelplugged onto the CANopenmodule. The module is connected tothe bus system through a9-pin Sub-D connector.Pulse encoder evaluationmoduleThe pulse encoder evaluationmodule permits direct connectionof the most widely encountereddigital pulse encodersto the inverter. They offer the following functions:■ Zero speed at full loadtorque■ Extremely accurate speedcontrol■ Increased dynamic responseof speed andtorque control. This module can be used withHTL and TTL pulse encoders(High voltage TransistorLogic, 24 V and TransistorLogic, 5 V).Cyrillic AdvancedOperator Panel (CAOP)The CAOP is the Cyrillic versionof the AOP AdvancedOperator Panel. It supportsthe Cyrillic, German andEnglish operator languages.4Advanced Operator Panel (AOP)Siemens DA 51.2 · 2007/2008 4/21
