These hadbeen left to themselves for ten years and perhapsthey had spread, like the snowdrops, into thousands.She wondered how longit would be beforethey showed that they were flowers.Sometimesshe stopped digging to look at the gardenand try to imagine what it would be like when itwas covered with thousands of lovely things inbloom.
