The following values may beentered 147 .11 = The system is capable of specifying individualrestorations with the restored surface in<strong>for</strong>mation and materialcomposition coded separately <strong>for</strong> each restoration on the tooth;however, the submission of restorations with materials specified <strong>for</strong>each restoration is optional.21 = The system is capable of specifying individualrestorations with the restored surface coded separately; however, all ofthe individual material compositions are combined into a single code<strong>for</strong> the tooth. Material specification is optional. Unknown materialcomposition may be implicit or explic<strong>itl</strong>y coded.31 = The system is capable of coding individual restorationswith restored surfaces into a single code. All the materials utilized inall the restorations are combined into a single code when materials arerepresented. The codes are specified by tooth.41 = The presence of restorations without surfacein<strong>for</strong>mation is combined to a single code <strong>for</strong> the tooth.
