This in<strong>for</strong>mation itemindicates which of the vendor’s algorithms was used in the calculation of thequality score. This in<strong>for</strong>mation item contains the integer product code andshould be within the range 1 to 65,534. For products not registered with theIBIA, the code 0 shall be used.The fourth in<strong>for</strong>mation item (comments / COM) is optional and should beused to give additional in<strong>for</strong>mation about the quality assessment process. Itshall be used to describe unregistered algorithms.8.11.16 Field 11.021: Redaction / REDoThis field is optional and indicates whether the voice recording has beenredacted, meaning that some of the audio record has been overwritten(“Beeped”) or erased to delete speech content without altering the relativetimings within, or the length of, the segments. This field is not to be used toindicate that audio content has been snipped with the alteration of the relativetimings in, or length of, the segment.The first in<strong>for</strong>mation item (redaction indicator / RDI) is a binary indicatorand is mandatory if this field is used. It indicates whether the voice recordingcontains overwritten or erased sections intended to remove, without alteringthe length of the segment, semantic content deemed not suitable <strong>for</strong>transmission or storage. 0 indicates no redaction and 1 indicates that redactionhas occurred.o The second in<strong>for</strong>mation item (redaction authority organization name /RDA) is an optional text field of up to 300 characters in length containingin<strong>for</strong>mation about the agency that directed, authorized or per<strong>for</strong>med theredaction. Agencies undertaking redaction activities on the original speechshould log their actions by appending to this item and noting the change offield contents in the Record Type-98: In<strong>for</strong>mation assurance record and/orField 11.902: Annotation in<strong>for</strong>mation / ANN of this record.oThe third in<strong>for</strong>mation item (comments / COM) is an optional unrestricted textstring of up to 4000 characters in length that may contain text in<strong>for</strong>mationabout the redactions affecting the stored voice recording.8.11.17 Field 11.022: Redaction diary/RDDThis optional field indicates the timings with the voice recording of redacted(overwritten) audio segments. The redactions need not be dominated byspeech from the subject of this transaction or record. Four items (uniquelynumbering the redactions identified by recording track and giving relative startand end times of each) are mandatory if this field is used and shall repeat <strong>for</strong>each redaction. A fifth item is optional and accommodates comments on theindividual redactions.
