ANSI/NIST-ITL 1-2011 - UPDATE 2013 DRAFT VERSION• The third information item (top vertical coordinate value / TVC) is the topvertical offset of the bounding box relative to the origin positioned in theupper left corner of the image. It is expressed in pixel counts down.• The fourth information item (bottom vertical coordinate value / BVC) isthe bottom vertical offset of the bounding box relative to the originpositioned in the upper left corner of the image. It is expressed in pixelcounts down.• The fifth information item (bounding box head position code / BBC) is thebounding box type, indicating the contents of the bounding box. If this fieldis omitted, the default value shall be H (Head only). If entered, the valueshall be from the “Code’ column of Table 60.8.10.15 Field 10.015: Face image path coordinates in full image / FPFIIf the face image (IMT = 'FACE') contains more than one face, or is not cropped to a “headonly” or “head and shoulders” composition, this optional field may contain offsets to thelocation of the path defining a region containing the face of the subject within a largerimage. This field 118 is only appropriate for images that do not comply with SAP Levels 30,32, 40, 42, 50, 51, or 52 because those images shall be cropped to a “head only” or “headand shoulders” composition. See Section 7.7.12 for a description of encoding paths. Thisfield is an alternative approach to the bounding box described in Field 10.014: Face imagebounding box coordinates in full image / FIP.8.10.16 Field 10.016: Scanned horizontal pixel scale / SHPSThis is an optional field. See Section 7.7.8.7 for details.8.10.17 Field 10.017: Scanned vertical pixel scale / SVPSThis is an optional field. See Section 7.7.8.8 for details.CodeSHFNXTable 60 Face position valuesDescriptionHead and shoulders: the image within the bounding box is conformant with a “head and shoulders” composition(full frontal)Head only: the image within the bounding box is conformant with a “head only” compositionFace only: the image within the bounding box contains a subject's two eyes, nose and mouthNon-frontal head: the image within the bounding box contains the subject's entire head, but it is not frontal-facingor is otherwise not conformant with a “head only” compositionPartial face: the composition consists of a partial face, containing less than two eyes, nose and mouth118New for the 2011 version of the standard.204
