ANSI/<strong>NIST</strong>-ITL 1-<strong>2011</strong> - UPDATE 2013 DRAFT VERSION8.1.6 Field 1.006 Priority / PRYThis optional field shall contain a single in<strong>for</strong>mation character to designate the urgency withwhich a response is desired. The values shall range from 1 to 9, with 1 denoting the highestpriority. The default value shall be defined by the agency receiving the transaction.8.1.7 Field 1.007 Destination agency identifier / DAIThis mandatory field shall contain the identifier of the admi<strong>nist</strong>ration or organizationdesignated to receive the transmission. The size and data content of this field shall be userdefinedand in accordance with the application profile. See Section 7.6. The name of thedestination agency may be entered in Field 1.017 Agency names / ANM. A valid value <strong>for</strong>this field is “Not Specified.” All characters marked “A” ,“N” or “S” in the 'Type' column ofTable 108 Character encoding set values may be used.8.1.8 Field 1.008 Originating agency identifier / ORIThis mandatory field shall contain the identifier of the admi<strong>nist</strong>ration or organizationoriginating the transaction. The size and data content of this field shall be user-defined andin accordance with the application profile. See Section 7.6. The name of the originatingagency may be entered in Field 1.017 Agency names / ANM. A valid value <strong>for</strong> this field is“Not Specified.” All characters marked “A” ,“N” or “S” in the 'Type' column of Table 108Character encoding set values may be used.8.1.9 Field 1.009 Transaction control number / TCNThis mandatory field shall contain the transaction control number as assigned by theoriginating agency. A unique (<strong>for</strong> the originating agency) alphanumeric control numbershall be assigned to each transaction. For any transaction that requires a response, therespondent shall refer to this number in communicating with the originating agency.8.1.10 Field 1.010 Transaction control reference / TCRThis optional field shall be used <strong>for</strong> responses that refer to the TCN of a previoustransaction involving an inquiry or other action that required a response.8.1.11 Field 1.011 Native scanning resolution / NSRThis mandatory field shall be set to “00.00” if there are no Type-4 records in the transaction.See Section 8 <strong>for</strong> in<strong>for</strong>mation concerning leading zeros. This field does not apply to Type-7records in this version of the standard, unlike in previous versions, unless specified as suchby the domain or application profile. The special character that is allowed is “.”.When there are Type-4 records present, this field is used to specify the native scanningresolution of the friction ridge image capture device. This field shall specify the resolution inpixels per millimeter. The resolution shall be expressed as two numeric characters followedby a decimal point and two more numeric characters.If Record Type-4 is used and images are scanned at greater than the class of 500 ppi, theyshall be subsampled, scaled down, or interpolated down to produce a class resolution of 500102
