8.4.2 The Windows Action Center and your Avira product<br />
FireWall<br />
You may receive the following information from the Windows Action Center with regard<br />
to your Avira FireWall:<br />
� FireWall ACTIVE / FireWall on<br />
� FireWall INACTIVE / FireWall off<br />
FireWall ACTIVE / FireWall on<br />
After installing your Avira product and turning off Windows Firewall, you will see the<br />
following message under Action Center > Security > Network firewall: FireWall reports<br />
that it is currently turned on. This means that your have chosen Avira FireWall as your<br />
firewall solution. (Please notice the difference between Windows Firewall and Avira<br />
FireWall, with capital W).<br />
Warning<br />
Under the selection Control Panel > Windows Firewall the only product<br />
referred to is Windows Firewall and not Avira FireWall. That is the reason<br />
why everything will be marked in red with the message: Update your Firewall<br />
settings and Windows Firewall is not using the recommended settings to<br />
protect your computer. You don't need to do anything, your Avira product is<br />
working just fine and your PC is secure.<br />
FireWall INACTIVE / FireWall off<br />
You will receive the following message as soon as you disable the Avira FireWall:<br />
