Installation and uninstallation<br />

The setup program uninstalls the Avira product without displaying dialogs and<br />

requests a computer restart after uninstallation.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /remsilentaskreboot<br />

The following parameter is available as an option for the uninstallation log:<br />

� /unsetuplog<br />

All actions during uninstallation are logged.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /remsilent<br />

/unsetuplog="c:\logfiles\unsetup.log"<br />

In the control file setup.inf, you can set the following parameters in the [DATA] field for the<br />

automatic installation of the Avira product. The sequence of the parameters is unimportant.<br />

If a parameter setting is missing or wrong, the setup routine is aborted and an error<br />

message is displayed.<br />

Note<br />

Parameters containing paths or file names must be placed in double quotes<br />

(Example: InstallPath="%PROGRAMFILES%\Avira\AntiVir Server\").<br />

� DestinationPath<br />

Destination path in which the program is installed. It has to be included to the script.<br />

Please note that the setup includes company name and product name automatically.<br />

Environment variables can be used.<br />

Example: DestinationPath=%PROGRAMFILES%<br />

produces the installation path C:\Program Files\Avira\AntiVir Desktop<br />

� ProgramGroup<br />

Creates a program group for all users of the computer in the Windows Start menu.<br />

1: Create program group<br />

0: Do not create program group<br />

Example: ProgramGroup=1<br />

� DesktopIcon<br />

Creates a shortcut desktop icon for all users of the computer on the desktop.<br />

1: Create desktop icon<br />

0: Do not create desktop icon<br />

Example: DesktopIcon=1<br />

� ShellExtension<br />

Registers the shell extension in the registry. With the shell extension, files or<br />

directories can be scanned for viruses and malware via the context menu of the righthand<br />

mouse button.<br />

Example: ShellExtension=1<br />
