Installation and uninstallation<br />

Begin installation with the parameter /inf or integrate the parameter into the login<br />

script of the server.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /inf="c:\temp\setup.inf"<br />

The installation starts automatically.<br />

To uninstall Avira products on the network automatically:<br />

You must have administrator rights (also required in batch mode)<br />

Start the uninstallation with the parameter/remsilent or /remsilentaskreboot<br />

or integrate the parameter into the login script of the server.<br />

You can also specify the parameter for the uninstallation log.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /remsilent<br />

/unsetuplog="c:\logfiles\unsetup.log"<br />

The uninstallation starts automatically.<br />

Note<br />

The setup program for the uninstallation should be started on the PC on which<br />

the Avira product is to be uninstalled; do not start the setup program from a<br />

network drive.<br />

3.9.1 Command line parameters for the setup program<br />

Note<br />

Parameters containing paths or file names must be placed in double quotes<br />

(Example: InstallPath="%PROGRAMFILES%\Avira\AntiVir Server\").<br />

The following parameter is possible for installation:<br />

� /inf<br />

The setup program starts with the script mentioned and retrieves all parameters<br />

required.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /inf="c:\temp\setup.inf"<br />

The following parameters are possible for the uninstallation:<br />

� /remove<br />

The setup program uninstalls the Avira product.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /remove<br />

� /remsilent<br />

The setup program uninstalls the Avira product without displaying dialogs. The<br />

computer is restarted after uninstallation.<br />

Example: presetup.exe /remsilent<br />
