Update failed<br />
If this option is enabled, an email is sent if the update has failed due to an error.<br />
Edit<br />
The "Edit" button opens the "Email template" window in which you can configure the<br />
notification for an "Update failed" event. You have the option of inserting text for the<br />
subject line and body of the email. You can use variables for this purpose. (see Email<br />
Template)<br />
Add report file as attachment<br />
If this option is enabled, the current report file of the Updater component is added to<br />
the email as an attachment when sending Updater notifications.<br />
Recipient(s)<br />
Enter the email address(es) of the recipient(s) in this box. The individual addresses<br />
are separated by commas. The maximum length of all addresses together (i.e. the<br />
total character string) is 260 characters.<br />
Note<br />
Alerts are always sent by email for the following events if an SMTP server and a<br />
recipient address have been configured for Updater notifications:<br />
A product update is required for every further update of the program.<br />
An update of the scanning engine or of the virus definition file could not be<br />
performed as a product update is necessary.<br />
These alerts are sent irrespective of your email warning settings for the Update<br />
component.<br />
Acoustic alerts<br />
Options available in expert mode only.<br />
When a virus or malware is detected by the System Scanner or Realtime Protection, an<br />
acoustic alert is heard in interactive action mode. You can now choose to activate or<br />
deactivate the acoustic alert and select an alternative WAVE file for the alert.<br />
Note<br />
The action mode of the System Scanner is set in the configuration under<br />
System Scanner > Scan > Action on detection. The action mode of the Realtime<br />
Protection is set in the configuration under Realtime Protection > Scan > Action<br />
on detection.<br />
