Reference: Configuration options<br />
Enter the email address(es) of the recipient(s) in this box. The individual addresses<br />
are separated by commas. The maximum length of all addresses together (i.e. the<br />
total character string) is 260 characters.<br />
Updater email alerts<br />
The Updater component can send notifications by email to one or more recipients for<br />
specific events.<br />
Email alerts<br />
If this option is enabled, the Update component sends email messages with the most<br />
important data when a specific event occurs. This option is disabled as the default<br />
setting.<br />
Email messages for the following events<br />
No update necessary. Your program is up-to-date<br />
If this option is enabled, an email is sent if the Updater has successfully made a<br />
connection to the download server but there are no new files available on the server.<br />
This means that your Avira product is up to date.<br />
Edit<br />
The "Edit" button opens the "Email template" window in which you can configure the<br />
notification for a "No update necessary" event. You have the option of inserting text for<br />
the subject line and body of the email. You can use variables for this purpose. (see<br />

Update completed successfully. New files have been installed<br />
If this option is enabled, an email is sent for all updates performed: This may be a<br />
product update or an update of the virus definition file or of the scanning engine.<br />
