O.: Chousal,District: Bankura, West Bengal by M/s Nilkanth Ferro Limited (Unit-II) regardingEnvironmental ClearanceThe project authorities and <strong>the</strong>ir consultant, M/s Environ India, Kolkata gave a detailedpresentation on <strong>the</strong> salient features <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> project and proposed environmental protection measures tobe undertaken as per Terms <strong>of</strong> Reference (TORs) awarded during <strong>the</strong> 18 th <strong>Meeting</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Expert</strong><strong>Appraisal</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> (Industry-1) held during 24 th - 25 th January, 2011 for preparation <strong>of</strong> EIA/EMP. All<strong>the</strong> Ferro Alloy Plants are listed at S. No. 3(a) under Primary Metallurgy Industries under Category A <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong> Schedule <strong>of</strong> EIA Notification 2006 and appraised by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Expert</strong> <strong>Appraisal</strong> <strong>Committee</strong> (Industry-1) <strong>of</strong>MoEF.M/s Nilkanth Ferro Limited has proposed for 3 x 9 MVA Ferro Alloys Plant (Unit-II) at Village:Radha Madhavpur, Mouza & P. O.: Chousal, District: Bankura, West Bengal adjacent to Unit-I. Totalland acquired for <strong>the</strong> Unit-II is 12.66 acres and green belt will be developed in 4.20 acres. No R&R isinvolved. No National Park / Wild Life Sanctuary / Reserve Forest is located within 10 km radius <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>project site. Total cost <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> proposed project is Rs. 41.07 Crores.
