Global Presence
Based in Haderslev Denmark, BSI has designed, engineered and manufactured
leading rigging, deck hardware and hatch solutions for the yachting industry,
since the beginning in 1978. Additionally, BSI’s expertise in hatches has led to
the development of products for the wind energy sector.
In conjunction with our customers, BSI provides results through the use of best
practices, solution oriented experts, and our commitment to integrity. BSI’s
collaboration with our customers begins with analyzing their needs, continues
through in-house design, manufacture, installation and service for the entire
lifespan of our products. The BSI Group’s customer focused management philosophy
makes product innovation a hallmark that is reflected in our design
and engineering accomplishments
In 2010 BSI opened office in Palma de Mallorca and is in the process of opening
in Beijing, China. BSI is now present on 3 continents and through our
extensive Service Center, Dealer and Agent network, we reach all around the
World.

The BSI Twin Cup
The unique BSI Twin Cup is another successful
product development from BSI. Available with a
range BSI turnbuckles for both rod and wire in
rod sizes from -8 to – 60, the Twin Cup solution is
strong, light and practical!
New family of wire/
rod turnbuckles
BSI is launching a new family of Wire/rod turnbuckles,
named the CB (Closed Bronze) series. The
new turnbuckle feature a minimalistic yet very
functional design and is machined of solid marine
grade Alu-bronze. The turnbuckle has been
tested thoroughly at the Denmarks Technological
Institute and was proven stronger than rod-studs
holding it! See it at METS 2010 and available for
trade immediately hereafter.
The new SL7 rod
turnbuckle
First launched on X-Yachts new Xc-38 in October
2010, our new generation of rod turnbuckle is
baptized the SL7. Made of high-grade alu-bronze,
the SL7 replaces the SL3 and supplements the already
very successful SL5 turnbuckle. Designed
with maximum size keyplates for better grip and
chrome protection.
Available now in sizes -4 to -60

BSI composite rigging development
BSI is at the forefront of composite rigging development, being the preferred supplier of metal interfaces
such as tangs, toggles, turnbuckles and other custom hardware to the industry’s leading manufacturers
including Southern Spars/EC6, Future Fibres and Smart Rigging. Pictured here is Southern

Preferred supplier of rod rigging!
BSI continues to establish itself as the industry’s preferred supplier of rod rigging to the worlds leading
spar-makers including King Composites, Marström, Seldén, Southern Spar, Sparcraft and Z-spar/

Second generation Compact Flush hatch
BSI is launching its second generation Moonlight Compact Flush hatch at METS2010. The new CF
hatch features significant improvements such as “click-in” gasket, stay and hinge fittings, thereby
meeting the market demand for a simple and elegant, yet strong and absolutely “flush” hatch. Customers
can choose between a selection of stays, handles and colours, and the hatch is equally well
suited for sail and powerboats. CE certified, all moonlight hatches withstand rigorous testing for
structural and waterproof integrity under pressure testing in the most extreme temperature ranges.
New series of Compact Flush Portlights
BSI is currently developing a new series of Compact Flush Portlights, that will see the light of day on
the new Xp-44 launching early spring 2011. This new range of portlights is targeted at all yachts that
are following the significant design trend of having large acrylic side-windows. Watch out here, for
some new innovative features and typical BSI/Moonlight design details.

Moonlight continues to set the standard for high quality hacthes and portlights, and is the chosen
supplier of many leading yacht-builders around the world, including Najad, Elan, X-Yachts, Arcona, Jboats
and many others. Moonlight standard marine hatches are chosen for their renowned strength
and reliability for mission critical applications such a life-rescue boats as well as a wide range of
