For moreinformation about CIArb membership,including fees and a list of CIArbrecognisedequivalent courses, visit:W: www.ciarb.orgT: +44 (0)20 7421 7447E: memberservices@ciarb.orgCIArb ASSOCIATE (ACIArb)This entry-level Introductory Certificatequalification is ideal for people withsome knowledge of ADR who are keen totake the first step in a dispute resolutioncareer or to enhance their own personaland professional development.If you have some practical experienceof ADR, or have completed a CIArbaccreditedacademic course, you maybe able to become an Associate withouttaking an introductory course.To qualify to become an Associate:• Pass one of CIArb’s Introductorycourses in Arbitration, Mediation orAdjudication; or• Complete a recognised equivalentcourse; or• Demonstrate the level of experiencein the relevant field as required byCIArbW: www.ciarb.orgCIArb MEMBER (MCIArb)If you already have some ADR experienceand are looking to gain an internationallyrecognised qualification, this AdvancedCertificate qualification is right for you.If you are not an Associate but are legallyqualified and have some experience ofArbitration, CIArb offers an AcceleratedRoute to Membership course.To qualify to become a Member:• Become an Associate and passModules 1 and 2 of CIArb’s trainingprogrammes; or• Pass CIArb’s Accelerated Route toMembership programme (Arbitrationonly); or• Complete a recognised equivalentcourse; or• Demonstrate the level of experience inthe relevant field as required by CIArbW: www.ciarb.orgCIArb FELLOW (FCIArb)This high-level Diploma qualificationis designed for experienced disputeresolution practitioners looking forinternational recognition for their skills.If you have a professional legalbackground and significant arbitrationor adjudication experience, CIArb offersan Accelerated Route to Fellowshipcourse. For experienced practitioners, ourExperienced Practitioner Route may offeryou entry at Fellowship, depending on youracademic legal qualifications.To qualify to become a Fellow:• Become a CIArb Member and passmodules 3 and 4 of CIArb’s trainingprogrammes; or• Pass the Accelerated Route toFellowship Programme and Module4 of CIArb’s arbitration/adjudicationtraining programmes; or• Pass the Diploma in InternationalCommercial Arbitration and Module4 of CIArb’s arbitration trainingprogrammes; or• Complete a recognised equivalentcourse.In all cases, applicants must also attenda Peer interview.W: www.ciarb.orgCHARTERED ARBITRATORChartered Arbitrator status is abenchmark of exceptional experienceand knowledge in the field ofarbitration. Join us at any grade by demonstratingsufficient knowledge and experience of ADR to thelevel of our assessments.2QUALIFICATIONSMany of our members join us by completing a courseof study offered or approved by CIArb:• CIArb offers a full range of courses throughits Pathways training programme whichleads to CIArb membership at every grade,including fast-track routes for highly qualifiedpractitioners.
