Select a test fromthe Test Type drop-down list before running a test. Each test is briefly described below; refer toIEEE 450 for more information. Descriptions of items on the dialog boxes follow the six test typedescriptions. The areas enabled on the dialog boxes depend on the test type selected.9.4.1 Performance TestAlso known as a capacity test, the Performance test uses a programmed constant current orconstant power load to project reliability and remaining battery life before replacement isnecessary. A Performance test has only one step.9.4.2 Modified Performance TestFigure 7. Setup - Test Setup: PerformanceA Modified Performance test tests battery capacity (similar to a Performance test) and the abilityof the battery to provide a high-rate, short-duration load cycle.
