Stylish graphic appearance combined with structurally effective materialuse and location, continue to evolve in Artur Szpunar’s creative imagination. Small detail upgrades makethe surface as smooth and efficient as possible.By evaluating the tensionusing a custom load celldevice our design team of BarrySpanier, Phil McGain, and ArturSzpunar have been able to manage thetension/shape balance through the entirerange so the feel you get from size to size isconsistent and dependable. The accurate tensionmeasurements are a superb way of gauging the stiffnessor softness in relation to sail area and mast type/length.Combined with regular one-on-one water testing, it is possible tohave each size deliver a common ‘feel’ so transition from one to the other is easy and dependable.Tough new tack area skid pads, refined load point attachments for the batten tensioners, continued use of thehighest grade U.S. manufactured X-ply materials in 100% of the sail body, and new batten tapers especiallydesigned around the softer shapes all contribute to the legendary evolution and should bring a smile to anydedicated wave sailor interested in being part of the MauiSails experience for 2010.
