Rhino Wall BoxesRhino Wall Boxes (RWB) are universal self-locking secureMDU wall boxes with feature sets to meet the requirementsof most pre-wire and post-wire applications. Constructedof rugged mill-galvanealed steel, the wall boxes are finished withprotective baked-on powder paint. Multiple Self-Lock ® securitylocks are available.Rhino wall boxes are currently available in five sizes with closedbackor open-back designs. Closed-back and open-back wall boxeshave cable knockouts provided in the back of the chassis framefor pre-wired drop entry. Closed-back wall boxes are resistant tobug intrusion and offer higher security against vandalism. Openbackwall boxes allow system technicians to replace damaged partsor upgrade the MDU site without interrupting customer service.These full security “lens-over-box” designs come standard with1-1/2" (38.1mm) and 2.0" (50.8mm) cable entry knockouts forbottom entry. In addition, top entry lenses come with cable entryknockouts for top entry “post-wire” cable installations.The wall boxes have an adjustable multi-tap mounting plate toenhance splicing. Rhino Reversible Wall BoxesRhino Reversible Wall Boxes (RRB) are secureMulti-Dwelling Unit (MDU) wall boxes designedto meet the needs of most pre-wire and post-wireBroadband applications. The 10" deep RRB wall boxesare constructed of galvanealed steel and finished withprotective baked-on polyester powder paint, providingsuperior corrosion resistance. RRB wall boxes areavailable in numerous sizes with top and bottom entryoptions. Multiple door and lock options increase thesecurity of the RRB’s self-locking design.RRB wall boxes are currently available in five sizes (seespecifications) with closed-back or open-back designs.Closed-back and open-back wall boxes have cableknockouts provided in the back of the chassis frame forpre-wired drop entry. Open-back wall boxes allow systemtechnicians to replace damaged parts or upgradethe MDU site without interrupting customer service.The stainless steel hinged door of the RRB wall box canbe locked with a single Channell Self-Lock®, a DX-Lock tumbler pin padlock, or a combination of any one of Channell’s Self-Lock and two matching threadedlocks. The DX-Lock padlock design has the solid brass body mounted to the door and the stainless steellocking pin mounted to the body frame. As added security, additional plating between the door and the bodyframe prevent prying the door open.RRB wall boxes are reversible when purchased with mirror image top and bottom knockouts. This allows thebox to be installed so the door can swing left or right by simply reversing the box. These box designs comestandard with 1-1/2" (38.1mm) and 2.0" (50.8mm) cable entry knockouts for bottom entry. In addition, topentry boxes come with cable entry knockouts for top entry “post-wire" cable installations.The wall boxes have an adjustable multi-tap mounting plate to enhance splicing. Rhino Flush-Mount BoxThe Rhino Flush-Mount Wall Box (RWF) is a side-hinged wallbox designed for mounting within and attached to the framingstuds. The RWF is used as junction box for pre-wiringand housing for broadband equipment. Because of its Flush-Mount design, the RWF can be utilized inside apartments, condominiums,and other residential and business dwellings. The RWFis used in new and post construction.The RWF door utilizes a sliding latch, and has slotted louvers toincrease ventilation within the box. If desired, the RWF door canbe removed during installation, and replaced after completion ofconstruction.The RWF has two cable entry knockouts located on the top and bottom of the housing. A knockout and faceplate for an AC receptacle and box is located at the bottom of the RWF. The body has slotted mounting holes,and dry wall markers on both sides to position the RWF to accommodate all dry wall sizes. The RWF body hasdoor mounting holes on both sides of the box. The RWF can be reversed to allow for power entry from the topof the box. The door is then mounted using the other set of mounting holes.The Rhino Flush-Mount Wall Box is available with a high density structural foam back plate.
