This chemical covering ispolymerised at high temperature. The durability of thistreatment is given by the polymerisation, but also becauseof the individual treatment of each filament before therope is made. A Golden Dry rope is a rope with the core Drytreated, and a sheath of Dry Cover.Key features:• Very limited weight gain in wet conditions.• Prevents the rope thickening too much.• Improved rope-running through karabinersand belay devices.• Improved abrasion resistance in normal climbing use.Dry CoverEach filament of the sheath of 'Dry Cover' ropes istreated with a water repellent chemical before the ropeis manufactured. This chemical covering is polymerisedat high temperature. The durability of this treatmentis given by the polymerisation, but also because ofthe individual treatment of each filament before the ropeis made.
