Bringing WaterYears ago, people did not have running water in their homes. They had to findwater in ponds, streams, or wells and carry it in buckets. Most buckets weremade of wood or galvanized metal and were very heavy, especially whenfilled with water.Water carriers, FogoIn the winter, some people would fill buckets and haul them on slides.
