little to interest them in whatwe are examining. We,however, can see God'sgracious Plan which is beingworked out, and so that GreatStone Witness also contained,to us, a wonderful outline ofthat same Plan.just before reaching it we took a look intothe Forced Passage made by Al Mamoun.Reaching the Descending Passage we tooknote of the fact that its floor directly underthe base of the Granite Plug was not wornas much as the rest of the floor and foundit to be a large piece of limestone, muchharder than the rest of it. This seems toteach the firm footing the Jewish nationhad at the time their Law Covenant wasinstituted. The Jews had a better standing, because the Law itself is perfect. We then descended the LawAge Passage, being abruptlystopped by the Granite Plug, which is composed of threesections, the length of the threebeing about fifteen feet. Wethen climbed down around thisto the Descending Passage, butGoing up the Descending Passage towithin 25 or 30 feet of the entrance, wenoted the finely ruled line on the side, which marks the date of the building of thePyramid, by measuring back from near theupper opening of the Well down to theFirst Ascending and up the DescendingPassages to this line.We then went outside with the thought ofgoing up the outside of the Pyramid, but asthere is nothing to be gained by so doing, except a fine view of the country, and as itwould have been a hard climb, we decidednot to do so, but instead went and got somelunch.
