TDR880i TETRA data radioDedicated to data

TDR880i TETRA data radio• A complete, ready-to-use TETRAdata radio for easy set-up• Data communications andpositioning functionality in asingle device• Versatile interfaces forconnecting a wide variety ofapplications• Power management for batterypoweredapplications• Integrated GPS receiver withdiverse triggers and managedtrack retrievalThe TDR880i is an advancedTETRA radio dedicated to datacommunication. The TDR880i usesthe solid and robust technology ofthe EADS i-range TETRA radios. It isa ready-to-use product that comescomplete with housing and connectorsfor easy set-up in diverse mobile andfixed applications that benefit from asolid data communication channel.Examples include positioning, fieldreporting, database queries as wellas remote control and monitoring ofremote assets and devices such ascontainers, meters, gates or trafficdisplay panels. In position for dataapplicationsWith unique GPS tracking capabilities, advanced I/O line functionality andPEI-based AT command interface, theTDR880i is the right choice for a widevariety of applications. Examples varyfrom simple messaging, monitoringand controlling applications tomodern IP-based solutions and datatransmission over TETRA networks. The integrated GPS receiversupporting LIP protocol also includesa position storage and transfer facility, which makes the TDR880i an idealsolution for TETRA applications such astracking vehicles, vessels or containers. The radio’s intelligent track savingsystem allows position data to becollected, even if the radio is beyondthe reach of the TETRA network. Oncethe radio returns to the coverage area, the location data can be sent for furtherprocessing, such as picturing its routeon a map.

Fully capable and robustThe radio unit provides a set of digitalI/O lines that can be configured asinputs or outputs. This enables easyintegration with simple switches andsensors without need for processorbased-devices.The outputs can becontrolled by short data messages, while the inputs can be used to triggerstatus message or send locationinformation to predefined destinations. The radio can use intelligent messagetransfer options for managing thetraffic load, such as control channelassociated with an ongoing group call. The mechanical design of the radiofeatures a robust housing witha mounting flange and LED panel forpower on, TETRA network serviceand GPS fix indicators. The radio has apower on/off button and connectorsfor GPS and TETRA antennas, I/O linesand PEI interface and power supply.TDR880i accepts a wide range of inputvoltages (10,5 - 32 VDC) from externalpower supply, allowing the radio tobe directly fitted in ordinary vehiclesas well as heavy duty machines andtrucks. The TDR880i has a uniquesleep-mode feature that makes itpossible to reduce power consumptionin battery-powered applications. It isalso possible to switch the power onand off with an external device overthe I/O lines.Accessories for TDR880i• External AC Power Supply ACR-2E• DC Power Cable, CA-113• Combined TETRA & GPS AntennaAN-6• TETRA Antenna AN-7• TETRA Antenna AN-9• GPS Antenna AN-5• Data Cable CA-109• Parametering kit including adapterCA-115 and DAU-9S cable
