Millions<strong>2012</strong> <strong>Chicago</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> <strong>Budget</strong> <strong>Summary</strong>Remittance to Aquarium, Museum and ZooThrough a unique partnership, the <strong>Chicago</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>District</strong> provides operating subsidies to ten citymuseums out of its property tax levy and 7.53% of PPRT as mandated by state law. Throughmost of 2011, PPRT revenue began to increase by an average of 7% of 2011 budgeted figures.The <strong>2012</strong> budget anticipates that PPRT revenue will slightly increase from the 2011 budgetfigures. This increase will directly impact that portion of the museum contribution.
