Though wemake every effort to recognize our members, we ask everyone to carry his/her membership card at all times. If yourmembership card is lost or stolen, please notify the Membership Services Department. A $10 fee will be charged forreplacement cards. Membership cards are non-transferable and can be revoked upon violation of <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> policies.ParkingTo expedite entry to the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>, all members should have a valid <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> parking permit in the windshield of theircars (may be obtained at the Front Desk of the Main Building). The <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> reserves the right to tow (at driver’s/owner’sexpense) or place a boot (removal charge of $50) on any vehicle parked in an unauthorized or undesignated parkingarea.Use of the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>The <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>, a membership based organization, provides programs and services to both its membership and thecommunity-at-large. The use of <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> facilities are primarily available to members and their guests. Programs open toonly <strong>JCC</strong> members are noted in their promotional materials.Guest PolicyAll Access Members are entitled to bring a guest up to three times a year at a fee of $10/adult and $5/senior or ”junior”(13 and under) for use of <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> Health & Wellness facilities. Guests must be accompanied by a member. Same nonmemberguest may utilize the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> up to 3 times per year. Out-of-town guests who belong to another <strong>JCC</strong> outsidethe area receive complimentary guest privileges for up to two weeks per year. Upon presenting a valid membership cardfrom the other <strong>JCC</strong> to the Membership Department.Class & Program RegistrationTo register during early registration and receive priority registration and member rates on programs, membership must be ingood standing for the duration of the program. If membership expires during the course of the program, members must eitherpay for the renewal at registration, or give a post-dated payment for the renewal. Payment must accompany all registrationsfor classes and programs. To be eligible to register, member accounts must be up-to-date including membership fees.Associate and non-members may register for classes, when specified. No phone registration will be accepted. Registrationwill be accepted in person or by fax with completed registration form using Master Card, Visa, Discover, or AmericanExpress with registrar approval. There will be a $30 charge for any returned checks, and a $10 fee for any declined creditcard. A registration will not be processed, a space (if available) will not be reserved in the class or program, andattendance will not be permitted until a signed registration form (accompanied by payment) is received. The <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>reserves the right to cancel any class or program due to insufficient registration and fees will be refunded.Fee Assistance<strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> offers fee assistance to qualified individuals and families. Extended payment plans are also available. Allrequests are handled confidentially. Call extension 142, for scholarship application and to schedule a confidentialinterview.-5-

Forclasses that have a yearly registration, refund requests must be made by the 4th week of the program. Refund requests afterthis period of time must be addressed in writing to the Executive Director explaining the extenuating circumstances for therequest. Allow 4 weeks for refund checks. There is a processing fee of $35 per transaction. NO REFUNDS or CREDITS will beissued for programs requiring try-outs, such as sports travel teams & Bamachol dance troupes. Credits expire one year fromdate of issue.Payment for Private Lessons/Personal trainingPer <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> policy and for insurance purposes, payment arrangements for all personal training and private lessons at the<strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> must be processed through a <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> registrar. <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> membership is required. Only approved personnel andindependent contractors employed by the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> are eligible to provide personal training and private instruction."Outside Professionals" Use of the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>No outside trainers, teachers, coaches, tutors, therapists, pros, etc., may utilize the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> for professional purposes - evenin the company of and with the permission of a <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> member, without written authorization from the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>Executive Director. "Outside Professionals" receiving said authorization must comply with all insurance requirements andprovide all required documentation.Personal Belongings/LockersThe <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> is not liable for the theft, loss, or damage to any personal belongings or property. You may bring a lock tosecure your belongings in a “daily locker” in our locker room facilities, Scheck Family Gymnasium, or by the Program Buildingadjacent to the Feldenkreis Hanono Feig Athletic Field. The lock must be removed by the end of each day or it will beremoved by <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> staff. Permanent annual lockers are available annually in the men’s and women’s locker rooms for$65. Visit the membership office, or call ext. 145/146.SecuritySecurity and safety are our highest priority. The <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> reserves the right to check trunks and vehicles for securitypurposes. It also reserves the right to check backpacks, lunch boxes, and other types of sealed or closed containers withoutprior notification. No weapons are permitted on campus. Among the permanent security systems at the <strong>JCC</strong> are:• Security gates and guards • Surveillance cameras, recording systems and monitors at strategic places throughout thebuildings and outdoor areas • Signage that will alert all visitors that the premises are under surveillance • Emergencyalarms that are directly connected to law enforcement authorities • A photo I.D. is required to enter the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> -access to the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> may be denied if appropriate I.D. is not presented.The overall effect is a high level of security at the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> that prompts quick action in the event of any danger signs.BullyingThe <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> is a meeting place that promotes friendship, belonging, and camaraderie. <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> members, guests, andstaff are expected to treat one another with respect and dignity and no form of bullying will be tolerated. Any act ofbullying should be brought to the attention of <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> staff and may result in suspension from the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>.Cell PhonesCell phones may not be used in any <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> bathroom or locker room facility and when operating a vehicle on the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong>’s Sanford L. Ziff Campus.ShabbatIn recognition of the significance of Shabbat, the <strong>MAR</strong>-<strong>JCC</strong> encourages its members to use its facilities for rest, relaxation,and family interaction. Sports and fitness facilities are open to <strong>JCC</strong> members only on Saturday, from 1-6 pm. Business andmembership offices are closed.HolidaysOperating hours and openings may vary in observance of <strong>Jewish</strong> and national holidays. The temperature is maintained between 84-86 degrees.Lap Swimming PolicySwimmers are required to share lap lanes when necessary. Lifeguards will place swimmers together with similar abilities.Outdoor Pool - Lap swimming is available all year-round with the exception of summer during Camp Sol Taplin operating hours.Private Swim PolicyFor every 4 hour package, the client is entitled to 2 cancellations before being charged-24 hour cancellation notice required(otherwise it will count as a lesson).
