ParametersBearing (Horizontal)The Bearing parameters are accessed from the Horizontal andSecond ping menus.The Bearing of the audio channel is normally controlled from theSonar Operating Panel. The selected bearing is shown with acontinuous white line pointing out from the transducer position.This line can be trained manually or automatically in any position.The angle readout on the bearing button can be selected to be ±180degrees relative to the bow, or absolute (relative north).More information about the Auto Search program are provided inthe Sonar Operating Panel description.→ Refer to page 31.The following options are available:Left arrow - Train left.Right arrow - Train right.Search Step - This button opens a new dialogue to select the searchstep angle. This angle defines how many degrees the search beamshall move for each transmission in the Auto Search mode.Search Sector - This button opens a new dialogue to select theactive audio search sector. This sector can be adjusted between 22and 360 degrees directly with the increase/decrease buttonfunction, or by the - or + buttons in the Search Sector dialogue.The search sector limits will be shown on the outer part of the echocircle with two white angular symbols.Absolute (true) - Sets bearing relative to true north.Relative - Sets bearing relative to the bow of the vessel.Manual - In this mode, the audio channel may be trainedcontinuously in either direction by pressing the “train left“ or “trainright” buttons.850-164511 / B87
