OperationCURSORMenu Select View ObjectSONAR OPERATING PANELSelecting a new parameter valueThe menu system is operated by the trackball and the Select buttonon the Sonar Operating Panel.However, when you have gained moreexperience, and have become more familiar withthe available options, you will select theparameters directly from the “smart” buttons.When the parameter dialogue has been opened,the parameters can be changed in two differentways.First method:1 Use the increase/decrease function on thebutton to move the parameter pointer up ordown in the dialogue.2 Close the dialogue by pressing the centre of the button.Second method:1 Move the cursor down to the parameter dialogue.2 Move the cursor up and down on the parameter list.3 Press Select when you have found the requested parameter.4 Press Close to close the dialogue.(CD5768B)Press the button on the menu.Observe the parameter dialogue appear.Make the necessary changes.Press Close to finish.The parameter value shown in the button is operational evenwithout closing the parameter dialogue. This makes it easy to testthe effect of each parameter setting. Note that the transceiverrelated parameters will first be in operation in the next ping.850-164511 / B43
