ParametersRangeThe Range parameter can be accessed from the button in theHorizontal, Vertical and Second ping menus.Horizontal and vertical range is normally selected using the SP90Sonar Operating Panel. You can also control these settings directlyon the Range button. The available choices are listed in thisdialogue.The Range buttons are described in the Sonar Operating Panelchapter.→ Refer to page 28.Available ranges (in meters): 150, 300, 450, 600, 900, 1200, 1500,2000, 2500, 3500, 4500, 6000 and 8000.In addition to the readout on the menu, the current horizontal rangeis normally displayed over the tilt indicator in the upper, left-handcorner of the display.The following options are available in the Range parameterdialogue:Manual - Allows you to change the range manually.Auto - Enables automatic range selection during position- andtarget tracking.To create an optimal position- or target tracking programme,automatic ranging may be selected by pressing the Auto (Tilt) orAuto Search buttons on the Sonar Operating Panel. To maintaina steady display during seine setting, the lower automatic range isset to 450 meters. Changing the range or pressing the Manualbuttons will stop the automatic ranging function.850-164511 / B117
