ΠαναγοπούλουBίδες για στραβόξυλα, Σ.KαµαγιάννηThe mystery of the Shaggy Dog, Joe TornabeneMια φορά κι έναν καιρό..., Σ. KαµαγιάννηTο Warm Up είναι µία οµαδική δηµιουργία, ένα happeningχωρίς κείµενο, βασισµένο σε µία ιδέα του Tim Ward.Σηµαντικό ρόλο σε αυτό το ξεκίνηµα παίζει η τεχνολογίακαθώς ήχοι ηχογραφούνται, υφίστανται επεξεργασία στονυπολογιστή και διαχέονται στο χώρο ζωντανά.Tο The Trashmen (Oι Σκουπιδιάρηδες) διερευνά κείµενα ταοποία έχουν παραχθεί αυτόµατα στον υπολογιστή µέσωδιαφόρων προγραµµάτων. Aυτά τα προγράµµαταχρησιµοποιούν αξιώµατα από τη µαθηµατική θεωρία τωνπιθανοτήτων και µπορούν να παράγουν πρόζα και ποίηση,που τη µία στιγµή είναι αφηγήσεις ξεκάθαρες και µεστές4041Participating in alphabetical order:Irina Dimaki, violoncelloSofia Kamayianni, composition, piano, percussionRania Kelaiditi, actressDina Mantzari, sopranoDora Panagopoulou, composition, piano, percussionJoe Tornabene, composition, saxophone, actorTim Ward, composition, tuba, live electronicsThe Storytelling Project –Spiza Artistic GroupWith the initiative of members of the Spiza group, someartists were invited to experiment with the idea of musicalnarration.The Storytelling Project is a selective mixture ofcontemporary music and narration.The four composersand interpreters Sofia Kamayianni, Dora Panagopoulou,Joe Tornabene and Tim Ward, collaborate with the cellistIrina Dimaki, the soprano Dina Mantzari and the actressRania Kelaiditi, to create a musical performance thatcombines instruments, vocals, electronics, improvisation,original or existing texts, movement, and aims in extendingthe meaning of the narration.Every artist participating has a personal course in contemporaryarts. It is the first time that these artists are collaborating alltogether though they have worked together in the past onsmaller combinations.In The Storytelling Project the following pieces are presented:Warm UpThe Trashmen,Tim WardSmenos, D. KamayianniThe Warm Up is a group creation, an event with no text,based on an idea of Tim Ward. In this beginning, technologyhas an important role as the sounds are recorded, processedin the computer and scattered live in all directions.The Trashmen explores texts that were generated automaticallyby computer programmes. These programmes employedprinciples adapted from the mathematical theory of probability,and they generated both prose and poetry, at one moment withlucid and meaningful narratives, at the next wonderfully garbledand confused.A rich sonic texture is created from readings ofthe text combined with live sound transformations and tape.
