Κωνστάντια ΓουρτζήKonstantia GourziΣΥΝΑΥΛΙΑ – ΠΟΙΗΣΗ ΤΗΣ ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗΣ ΤΟΥ 20ού ΑΙΩΝΑEnsemble Octopus: Μια φεγγαροχτυπηµένη και φολκλορική βραδιάΜουσική διεύθυνση: Κωνστάντια Γουρζή5 Μαΐου <strong>2006</strong> Θέατρο ΑπόλλωνΗ ιδέα-ανάγκη να αυτοσχεδιάσω πάνω σε θέµατα του Schönberg δηµιουργήθηκε πριν από τέσσερα περίπου χρόνια.Έχοντας η ίδια δυσκολία να συγκεντρωθώ να ακούσω το κοµµάτι από την αρχή µέχρι το τέλος, χρειαζόµουν οπωσδήποτε µεταξύτου πρώτου και του δεύτερου, όπως και µεταξύ του δεύτερου και του τρίτου µέρους, µια παύση για να αντιληφθώ τη µουσικήκαι τη δραµατουργία του έργου. Εκάθησα στο πιάνο και προσπάθησα να παίξω µόνο τις νότες από τον Pierrot χωρίς το χρόνο καιτη δυναµική που η παρτιτούρα µου έδινε ως οδηγία. Αντελήφθην κατά τη διάρκεια ότι είχα την τάση να αυτοσχεδιάσω µε τα θέµατατου κοµµατιού. Λίγες µέρες αργότερα ρώτησα τη Maria Baptist, αν είχε διάθεση να αυτοσχεδιάσουµε τέσσερα χέρια µαζί. Μετά από αυτήτη συνάντηση κατάφερα να την πείσω να µελετήσει το µέρος του πιάνου και να πραγµατοποιήσουµε την ιδέα που είχα.Κάναµε δύο επιτυχηµένες συναυλίες το 2002 στο Αµβούργο και στο Βερολίνο µε το «Σύνολο Echο» του Βερολίνου και µε µεγάλη χαράεπαναλαµβάνουµε και πραγµατοποιούµε την ιδέα αυτή τώρα στην Πάτρα. Το κοµµάτι του Berio είναι για µένα η µουσική αντίθεση καιισορροπία στη µουσική του Schönberg. Γι’ αυτό το λόγο οι συνθέσεις θα παιχθούν χωρίς διάλειµµαΚωνστάντια ΓουρζήΤο µουσικό σύνολο Octopus παίζει έργα των:Arnold Schönberg, Pierrot Lunaire, Jazz αυτοσχεδιασµό πάνωσε θέµατα του Pierrot Lunaire µεταξύ των µερών 1-2, 2-3και στο τέλος Luciano Berio, Folk Songs.Σολίστ: Maria Baptist, πιάνοAnna Clementi, φωνήΜουσική διεύθυνση: Κωνστάντια ΓουρζήEnsemble OctopusΤο σύνολο µοντέρνας µουσικής Octopus ιδρύθηκε το Φεβρουάριοτου 2003 από τη µαέστρο, συνθέτη και καλλιτεχνική διευθύντριατου συνόλου Κωνστάντια Γουρζή. Το ρεπερτόριο του συνόλουσυγκεντρώνεται στη µουσική του 20ού και 21ου αιώνα για µουσικήδωµατίου και για µουσική ορχήστρας δωµατίου. Επίσης, το σύνολοασχολείται µε προγράµµατα διαφορετικών καλλιτεχνικώνκατευθύνσεων, όπως π.χ. µουσική και φως, µουσική και γλυπτά.Το σύνολο εµφανίζεται στην Ελλάδα για πρώτη φορά.CONCERT – 20 ΤΗ CENTURY MUSIC POETRYEnsemble Octopus: A Moonstruck and Folklore EveningConductor: Konstantia GourziMay 5, <strong>2006</strong> Apollon TheatreThe idea-necessity to improvise on Schönberg’s themes occurred to me four years ago.Having had difficulty concentrating into listen the piece from beginning till the end, I felt that I absolutely needed a pausebetween the first and second parts, as well as between the second and third parts which would allow me to understand the musicand dramaturgy of the work. I sat on the piano and I tried to simply play the notes from the Pierrot without following the timeand the dynamic that was dictated by the score. I realised along the way that I tended to improvise on the work's themes.A few days later I asked Maria Baptist if she felt that she would like to improvise with me in four hands.After this meeting she was convinced to study the piano part and to work together in materialising my idea.We had two very successful concerts together in Hamburg and in Berlin in 2002, and it is with great joy that we repeatthis concept in Patras. The ensemble’s repertoryis concentrated on the chamber music and the music forchamber orchestra of the 20th and the 21st centuries.The groupis also involved in artistic projects that explore other artisticrelationships such as music and light, music and sculpture etc.The ensemble appears in Greece for the first time.
