Academia<strong>Chatterbox</strong><strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>January</strong> 19, <strong>2012</strong> Page 4Student Celebrationby Whitney DurrettEditor in ChiefIn December of 2011 students from <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> gathered during 5 th hour at the football stadium for a celebration. The school was celebrating the hard work ofeach and every student at <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> for putting in the effort so <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> could achieve a high school performance score. <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> is one of the top schools in thestate of Louisiana with a school performance score of 119.7. <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> has always been a great school and is improving greatly with every new year, and new class ofstudents. Students were rewarded with soft drinks, snacks, ice cream, and a whole class period off. <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> and Lincoln Parish celebrate the students of <strong>Ruston</strong> <strong>High</strong> forseveral reasons every year. By doing this they encourage students to succeed and do better with their school work. Cazenave. Todos trajeron un plato casero de estilo mexicano. Algunos de estos incluyeronarroz español, enchiladas de pollo, tamales, salsa, queso, etc. Después de comer, nuestros presidentes, Carlos y Tomás, nos dirigieron en un divertido intercambiode regalos. En el Club de Español tendrás la oportunidad de experimentar la cultura como aprender a cocinar platos mexicanos y españoles.
