In the ringhitch the end fastening has no tendency to cut theline, <strong>and</strong> the draught is direct. If used in tyinggut to a swivel, pass ittwice around the swivel ringas shown in "first move" ;pass the end over to thefar side, <strong>and</strong> bring it through the double loop towardyou at a; pass it over again <strong>and</strong> bring itthrough as before, but toward the swivel. See thatthese two turns are not too loose, <strong>and</strong> pull tight onthe st<strong>and</strong>ing part first w^hile still keeping a goodstrain on the st<strong>and</strong>ing part. With tweezers tightenthe short end, then snip it off close.
