Snap a chalk-line along thelog that <strong>com</strong>es directly over the doorway, <strong>and</strong> chiselout a section three or four inches deep for top ofdoor frame to be nailed to. Spike the jambs toends of abutting logs. Fit in a washboard beveled•onboth sides.The door should swing inward ; otherwise, if thecabin is occupied in winter, you may find your egressblocked by a snow-drift.If you can bring in a screen door, by all mean?do so. In such case you may as well bring also &ready-made door <strong>and</strong> casing. If means of transportationdo not permit this, then make a simplebatten door.
