RECOMMENDATIONSFollowing the outcome of consultation, proposed recommendations are:1. The Local Government Advisory Board support the proposed boundary change betweenthe Cities of Bayswater and Swan - to change the boundary between the City of Bayswaterand the City of Swan for the area north of Widgee Road to Reid Highway and west of TonkinHighway to Alexander Drive, so the boundary follows the alignment of Tonkin Highway andReid Highway, such that the whole suburb of Noranda is within the City of Bayswater.{Schedule 2.1 – clause 2(2)(a) of the Local Government Act 1995}.2. The Local Government Advisory Board, in supporting the proposed boundary change,determine by absolute majority, in accordance with Schedule 2.1, clause 3(3), that theproposal is:-a. One of a minor nature; andb. Not one about which further public submissions need to be invited, dependant on theoutcome of public consultation being jointly undertaken as part of the joint submission bythe City of Bayswater and City of Swan.3. The Local Government Advisory Board support finalising the boundary changes and seekMinisterial approval.4. The area affected by the boundary change form part of the City of Bayswater’s NorthWard.5. The Local Government Advisory Board notes that relevant reviews of ward boundarieswould occur in each authority in accordance with statutory requirements.DRAFT
