The Sun Shield is notdesigned to work withoptional Infant Car SeatAdapter and car seat.. Never leave childunattended.. The Sun Shield reducesthe exposure to sun andheat but does noteliminate it. Avoidexposing your child toprolonged sun and heat.. It is possible for smallinsects to enter throughthe small gaps betweenthe shield and the stroller.. When not in use, keepout of reach of children.. When the Sun Shield isused, the rear canopyflap must be in correctposition as describedbelow. Set stroller ParkingBrake (refer to ParkingBrake section of strollerOwner’s Manual). Placeeach sun canopy intoposition to receive the SunShield as shown in Fig.1.2. Pull each canopydrawstring in order togather extra material undercanopy. Cinch cord lockagainst canopy to retractand hold material, asshown in Fig. 2.3. Locate rear canopy flapand fold forward. Attachcanopy flap Velcro on flapto respective Velcro mateon top outboard side ofeach canopy as shown inFig. 3). Warning tag on rearcanopy flap also describesand illustrates this criticalstep.Very Important: When theSun Shield is used, therear canopy flap must bein correct position asdescribed below. Thiswill insure proper air flowand ventilation for yourchild.4. Inspect opening at backof stroller to make sure theair passages between topof seat back and canopyare unobstructed (see Fig.4). We recommendreclining each seat backslightly to optimize airflow(refer to Reclining Seatsection of stroller Owner’sManual).5. Place Sun Shield on thestroller so the rear flapdrapes over back (betweenthe handlebars) and theseam above the window isaligned with the forwardSun Canopy supports (seeFig. 5).6. Stretch the elastic cordon each side under eachrespective black shockknob as shown in Fig. 6.There is an opening midway up each side (withsilver reflective fabric oneach end) where the elasticcord is exposed.7. The cordlocks allow the loop to beenlarged or reduced,thereby adjusting thetension.8. Stretch and hook thefront elastic edge of theSun Shield evenly underthe lip of the plastic noseon the stroller. Keep edgeabove red swivel lockoutknob (see Swivel Lockoutsection of Owner’sManual). Position BOBlogo in center over noseof the stroller (Fig. 7).9. Stretch each elasticedge of the Sun Shield androute under eachrespective side of frametube as shown in Fig. 7.10. Center rear flap of SunShield on strollerhandlebar. Inspect airpassages above strollerseat. Make sure airopenings are notobstructed (Fig. 8).11. To place passenger(s)in the stroller, pull the frontof the Sun Shield off thenose of stroller, then lift up,stretch and roll over theforward edge of strollercanopy as shown in Fig.9. This will temporarilyhold the Sun Shield out ofyour way while you placeeach child into the seat(s).12. Once your child issecured in the safetyharness (refer to yourstroller Owner’s Manual,Seat Safety Harnesssection), release the SunShield from canopy andre-secure under the lip onthe stroller nose and underframe sides.
