<strong>NWP</strong> 4-<strong>01.4</strong>PREFACEThe information contained in <strong>NWP</strong> 4-<strong>01.4</strong>, UnderwayReplenishment, is directed toward preparing boththe replenishment and customer ship for a replenishmentevolution. Detailed rig make-up, requisite equipment,and standardized procedures are established toserve as specific guidelines for all aspects of replenishmentat sea.<strong>NWP</strong> 4-<strong>01.4</strong> has evolved over the years as a directresult of continuing fleet requirements to standardizeprocedures, furnish rig make-up guidance, and providecontinuity in application and use. The highest degreeof professional competence in UNREP evolutionsis required for their safe and efficient conduct.
