SRI SAI DARSHAN was founded by Sri GurumaiShanthamma in the year 1988 which was later registered asSRI SAI DARSHAN TRUST in 1996. Gurumaa (as devoteesaffectionately address her) established a temple dedicatedto Sri Shirdi Sai Baba in the year 1999 in Kannikapuram, inthe outskirts of Chennai where many devotees come andexperience the grace of Sri Sai Baba. Apart from the temple,the Trust also runs an Ashram comprising of several rooms,a library and a Goshala.Singing the four Aarthis (5.15a.m., 12 noon, 6p.m., 8.45 p.m) and chanting of Hanuman Chalisa aredaily activities apart from performing abhisheka to allGods. Other festivals of the Ashram are New YearCelebration, Pongal, Maha Shivarathri, TrustAnniversary, Sri Rama Navami, Gurumaa's Birthday,Guru Purnima, Krishna Jayanthi, Vinayaka Chaturti,Saraswathi Puja, Vijaya Dasami (Sri Sai Baba's MahaSamadhi day), Homi Baba's Birthday. Free medicalcamp on second Saturday, Sai Akanda Nama Japamon second Sunday and Poornima Poojas are monthlyevents. Books and clothes are also distributed toschool children.Anna DhanamMedical CampBy the grace of Sri Sai Baba, a building is beingconstructed by the Trust adjacent to the Ashram. Thepremises is spread in an area of approximately 8000 sq.ft., comprising of a huge hall and kitchen on the groundfloor specially dedicated for doing Annadanam and fewrooms on the first floor for accommodating devoteesduring major events and festivals. With the support of alldevotees we plan to complete the construction soon.
