MODE/SETYASKAWASERVOPACKSGDH-CHARGEL1L2+ 1+ 2-L1CL2CB1B2UVWCN3CN1DATA/POWERCN2200V8 Operation8.1.1 Trial Operation for Servomotor without Load8.1.1 Trial Operation for Servomotor without LoadCAUTION• Release the coupling between the servomotor and the machine, and secure only the servomotor without aload. To prevent accidents, initially perform the trial operation for servomotor under no-load conditions (with all couplingsand belts disconnected). In this section, confirm the cable connections of the main circuit power supply, motor and encoder except theconnection to host controller. Incorrect wiring is generally the reason why servomotors fail to operate properlyduring the trial operation.Confirm the wiring, and then conduct the trial operation for servomotor without load. The operation and the display are the same both for the panel operator and optional digital operator (JUSP-OP02A-2).Step Description Check Method and Remarks1Secure the servomotor.Secure the mounting plateof the servomotor to theequipment.Do not connect anythingto the shaft(no-load conditions).Follow 3.8.1 Precautions on Servomotor Installation and securethe servomotor mounting plate to the machine in order to preventthe servomotor from moving during operation.Do not connect the servomotor shaft to the machine. The servomotormay tip over during rotation.2Check the power supply circuit, servomotor, and encoderwiring.PowersupplyWith the CN1 connector not connected, check the power supplycircuit and servomotor wiring. Do not use the CN1 I/O signalshere.Refer to 6.1 Wiring Main Circuit for wiring example of main circuit.Refer to 2.5 Selecting Cables for motor and encoder cables.3Turn ON power.Normal DisplayEncodercableExample of Alarm DisplayAlternate displayIf the power is correctly supplied, the panel operator display on thefront panel of the SERVOPACK will appear as shown on the left. The display on the left indicates that Forward Run Prohibited (P-OT) and Reverse Run Prohibited (N-OT). For details, refer to7.1.4 Status Display. If an alarm display appears, the power supply circuit, servomotorwiring, or encoder wiring is incorrect. If an alarm is displayed, turnOFF the power, find the problem, and correct it.Refer to 10.1 Troubleshooting.4Release the brake before driving the servomotor when aservomotor with brake is used.Refer to 8.3.4 Setting for Holding Brakes and 8.4.5 AbsoluteEncoder Setup (Fn008).Absolute Encoder Setup (Fn008) operation can be omitted whensetting the Pn002 to n.1 (Uses absolute encoder as an incrementalencoder) only during trial operation.8-6
