Applicable to:E2-MIX24880E2-MIX24882E2-32O24E2-16DO24system dynamics require. Each output may be individually configured as a TPO or ordinarydiscrete output. In this example, TPO #1 has a 10 second cycle time and the analog value is 3276 (10% of fullscale, which is typically 32767). The output will be ON for 1 second and OFF for 9 secondsduring each 10 second period.TPO #2 has a 2 second cycle time and the analog value is 26214 (80% of full scale). Theoutput will be ON for 1.6 seconds and OFF for 0.4 seconds during each 2 second period.TPO #3 has a 2 second specified cycle time, an analog value of 820 (2.5% of full scale) and aminimum ON/OFF time of 100 mS. Since the minimum cycle time is 100 mS and thecalculated ON time is only 50 mS, the cycle time is readjusted by a factor of 2 to maintain thetime proportion. The output will be ON for 100 mS and OFF for 3.9 seconds beforerepeating.Note: Non-integral remainders of time are carried forward to the next cycle, to maintain longtermaccuracy. (In Example TPO #3 on page 20, the below minimum time is carried forwardto the next time cycle. When the below minimum value is calculated, no ON time is set forthat cycle.4-20 mA AnalogInput WiringApplicable to:E2-MIX24880E2-MIX24882E2-32AI20ME2-16AI20ME2-16AI8AOOpen Loop Detectionon4-20 mAInputsThe analog input channels accept 4-20mA signals from a variety of devices and are protectedby self-resetting current shunts to prevent shunt overheat/damage. One screw terminal isprovided for each input signal. All analog inputs return to a common ground (terminal 8).Refer to illustration: Base Power & Communications Wiring Diagram in Section 4, on page12.This module can detect and report an open instrumentation loop on its analog inputs. Byallowing the module to report a negative value if the current falls below 4 mA, low limit logicin your DCS, PLC, RTU or computer can signal the loss of current. To enable this feature, go to the web interface’s “Analog Input Channels” configurationscreen and select the corresponding “Feature 1” column. A dropdown menu will appear.Select the“– Below 4 mA” setting for each desired channel.
