Style columnar; stigma obscurely 3-lobed. Fruit a berry. Seeds 2or more; testa usually brownish.Five species: temperate to subarctic regions of E Asia and North America; one species in <strong>China</strong>.Although Tamura (in Kubitzki, Fam. Gen. Vasc.
