The Govt at the centre has shown utter disregard to theconcerns expressed by small traders, farmers and consumers atlarge, who would be facing the adverse impact of this decision. BJPstrongly supports the demand for roll back of this decision andappeals the country men to join this Bharat Bandh.Uttarakhand, Karnataka,Jharkhand, Bihar, Rajasthan,Maharashtra, HimachalPradesh, Andhra Pradesh,Tamilnadu, Kerala and othersprotested in their local markets.They also demonstrated in frontof foreign stores.It is noteworthy, that theUnion Congress government hasrecently triggered a politicalstorm by suddenly allowing 51%foreign direct investment in themulti-brand retail sector, but hassince faced stringent criticism asprotests have swelled fromopposition parties to some of itsown allies.
