He furtherexpected that theState Governmentpolicies would be helpful for the gas victims.Shri Jha further alleged that the CongressGovernment had given the permission of the UnionCarbide plant in the heart of the city, which reflectsthat the party had no concern of the resident ofState capital. The atrocity done by CongressGovernment has its implications till now, he added.He further said that the deaths occurred owingto the negligence of the Congress Government andthe party duped the common man. Shri Jhaassured, “that the BJP is fighting for the residentsof the Bhopal and the gas affected families fromthe very beginning”.He further said that the BJP has made manypolices and initiated various programmes for thegas affected families of the Bhopal. The party iseven fighting the battle of gas affected families inthe court, he added.Shri Jha said if the Congress led UPAGovernment had given proper assistance to theState Government the gas victims would have beenbenefited more.The BJP State President further said that UnionCarbide Company has done variousembezzlements to hush up the charges of forgery.“The BJP will fight to include the remainingresidents 20 wards under the victim of gastragedy,” he stated. He further said that Indian ethos shouldbe maintained while using modern technology.Our ancestors had developed an energy-efficientlifestyle that was in tune with the laws of theuniverse. “We use lifts instead of staircase andthen spend on gym to maintain our body”, ShriModi remarked.The Chief Minister also said that governmentrules and regulations alone are not enough. “Nowit is high time that architects and designers wakeup and design buildings which will reduce energyconsumption drastically,” he said.Shri Modi said that ancient India had a conceptof environment-friendly buildings which were inalignment with nature’s elements like air, waterand sunlight and suggested that architects shouldtake a cue from houses in Pols, temples andchurches and design houses where less electricityis consumed and use of ACs is minimal. “Countriesacross the world have started re-using naturalresources using local technology.
