Unique initiative by Madhya Pradesh BJPFrom Our CorrespondentBharatiya Janata Party works not only with theaim of changing the government but with theobjective of changing the society. BJP MadhyaPradesh State unit has taken initiatives in this directionwhich is worth emulating. Generally it is seen thatpolitical parties busy themselves with protestdemonstration, rallies, picketing, meeting etc. leavingthe constructive and developmental activities to bepursued by the administration. The work to empowerthe society cannot be left to the administration alonebut every section of the society should contribute inthis direction.The declining sex ratio is a thing to worry. Weworship women in the Indian culture in the form ofdevi but it is very unfortunate to note the growingtrend of female foeticide in the country. The MadhyaPradesh BJP government has launched Bitiya BachaoAbhiyan on this serious and sensitive issue. BJPorganization has also launched intensive campaignfor creating massive awareness on the issue. A historywas created on 5 th October in Madhya Pradesh whenBJP Madhya Pradesh BJP president Shri Prabhat Jhaand Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj SinghChouhan inaugurated Bitiya Bachao Abhiyan in Indore.A novel initiative was taken for this uniqueprogramme. The most notable feature of this uniqueinitiative was that the invitation card prepared forinviting people was representing Indian culture – itwas distributed along with akshat, roli and kalava.Lacs of girls were honoured by performing puja. Theprocess was repeated from mandal level to chiefminister’s house. BJP State President Shri Prabhat Jhaappealed to the people to rise above partisan politicsand come together on the issue to make Bitiya BachaoAbhiyan successful.Shri Prabhat Jha said that politics should not beaimed at votes alone. Maintaining social balance,equipping the society, giving it dignity and respect,respecting its tradition and culture and to help it riseand march ahead is the responsibility of thegovernment and political parties, he said.
