Renunciation is meant by morality.Renunciation is every part of our life, every moment ofgoodness and real life that we enjoy, is when we do totthink of ourselves. I am dead ;the old man is dead ;andthen we are in the Real, and the Vedanta says, that realityis God, and He is our own real nature, and He is alwaysin you and with you. Live in Him and stand i$i Him ;although it seems to be so much harder, it will becomeeasier by-and-bye. You will find that it is the only joyfulstate of existence ; every other existence is of death. Lifeon the plane of the spiritis the only life, life on any otherplane is mere death ;the whole of this life can be onlydescribed as a gymnasium. We must go beyond it tonjoyreal life.
