It is onlya question of change and manifestation. There cannot beadded in the economy of this universe one particle of matter or one foot-pound of force, nor can one particle ofmatter or foot-pound of force be taken out. If that be thecase, what is this intelligence ? If it was not present inthe protoplasm, it must have come all of a sudden, something coming out of nothing, which is absurd. It, therefore, follows absolutely that just as we see in any otherbeing, where it begins there it ends, only sometimes it isinvolved, at other times evolved. The perfect man is theone end of this link the free man, the God-man, who hasgone beyond the laws of nature, transcended everything.No more has he to run through this chain, birth and death ;that man, theChrist-man," as the Christians call him, theBuddha-man," as the Buddhists call him, theFree,"the Yogis call him, that perfect man is the one end, and thateverybody involved was in this very cell of the protoplasm.Now what becomes of this universe ?
