Village of CarmenFlorida, 7km upriver from Rurrenabaque, Ballivian Province, Beni Dept.<strong>Plant</strong>s said to be runner type. Fruits 2-seeded, 2.5cm long, straight,slight to medium constriction, one hump, no beak or keel, prominentreticulation. Seeds medium large, tan. Seed brought from Tumupasa. <strong>No</strong>trecognized as a local race by an elderly Tacana peanut farmer.PI 576599. Arachis hypogaea L. var. hypogaeaLandrace. 1195; mani rojo. Collected 04/20/1992 in Bolivia. Latitude 15deg. 32' S. Longitude 67 deg. 25' W. Elevation 595 m. Colonia Tupiza,5km above Sapecho, road to Yucumo, Sapecho, Sud Yungas, Province, La PazDept. <strong>Plant</strong>s runner type. Fruits 5-6cm long 1.5-2cm diam., straight,little or no constriction, with humps but no keel or beak, prominentreticulation, containing 2-3 large red seeds. Cultivated by colonistfrom Apolo from locally obtained seed. Said to mature in 5-6 months.Growning in upland swidden plot with yuca, plantain, papaya, andgualusa.13
