always in competition with each other. This gives rise to the spirit ofsectareanism, which pervades mundane forms of karma, jnana and upasana.Regarding the transcendental forms of karma, jnana and upasana, the Lordinstructs as follows.Bg 9.27"Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, andwhatever austerities you perform--do that, O son of Kunti, as an offering toMe."Bg 7.19"After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders untoMe, knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soulis very rare."Bg 12.2"The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: Those who fix their minds on Mypersonal form and are always engaged in worshiping Me with great andtranscendental faith are considered by Me to be most perfect."LORD’S PASTIMESQuestions from Cit Sakti dasMarch 12, 19951)Recently I've heard in your two lectures about Lord Rakta - yuga incarnationand about Raktaja (Arjuna), who was born from Visnu. These names Rakta andRaktaja are similer, that I'd like to ask, if there is some conection?2)Next question is from SB 1.9.39.where Srila Prabhupada is saying, that allKrishna's lilas are going on one after another in each and every universe.Thatmeans that these lilas we know from SB are going on one after another in eachand every universe simultaniously or in one universe then another etc.?We alsoknow from KB that Krishna lila in Vrindavana is going on constantly In this casewe can consider that Krishna lila is gong on constantly in each universe afterHis depature from Earth?Answer by Suhotra SwamiMarch 13, 1995The only connection is as you've noted--the similarity of the names. Rakta inSanskrit means "red" and also "blood." Lord Rakta of Treta-yuga is reddish inhue. Raktaja, who is Arjuna in another form, is born (ja) from blood (rakta)that Sri Visnu shed as a pastime.Regarding how the Lord's lilas are displayed in other universes, the comparisonis made to the sun passing through the points of arc in the sky. If the dome ofthe sky is divided into 720 sections to mark the minutes of 12 hours ofdaylight, the sun will be seen to gradually enter a new section as it passes outof a previous one. It is not that the sun is restricted to be in only onesection at a time, and is forced to do a quantum leap from one to another like ajerky old movie. Nor are 720 suns displayed all across the sky for 12 hoursstraight.VAIKUNTHA / AVATARASQuestion from bhakta Jan MaresMarch 14, 1995
